    20240413_065346.jpg Hello.

My name is Mark. I just bought a 98 tacoma 2wd. I want to share my experiences with the truck. I am no mechanic and to be honest never worked on a veical. I wanted to join this community because whats better than talking to other owners with the same veical.

I want to keep this truck, its nice, Good on gas, and I think over time I will gain enough know how to really keep this truck.

I think I got lucky with how nice this truck is and the cost of it for this area. Not too sure if it has limited slip in the rear. Might be a problem with this truck in this area. But I'm hoping once I can spin the wheel to see, I'm still waiting for insurance to come through, I will know. No I'm not going to burn out.

Thanks, I'm thinking of stuff to ask and seeing if someone already asked it. I'm also interested in the answers. It's kinda a neat website.

20240413_180640.jpg I have a question about my coolent. When I bought it I noticed that it was kinda redish brown. I asked about it. He said it was toyota coolent. I didn't really believe him but I bought it anyways. Later on I googled it and I guess toyota has a coolent that is a red color but I don't know sure if it is. I'm just used seeing green. An opinion would be awesome.

Welcome :hattip:you've got access to a wealth of information on this site. The Toyota coolant is in fact red. I've had my 99 Tacoma SR5 since 2004 and I've gotten my parts from the dealer ever since. My mechanic only works on Toyota vehicles. There are several master mechanics on this site as well as folks who have a scope of knowledge above and beyond the average person. Ask, be patient and exercise due diligence by taking some time to navigate the site. You'll find all the resources of information you need are right here

    Thanks for the welcome, SecureIT2021.
I my truck is nice to look at, but I think there is some things that need to be fixed. I bought a manual and using this site for thing I don't quite understand. There's info everywhere on this site, some I don't need some I do, but it's nice to be part of a more directed/focused website.
