I haven't installed glass fenders/bed-sides before. What all is involved with fitment? Is it trimming, adding glass? drilling holes?

Depends on what kind of end result you want honestly. Easily have a couple hundred hours fitting and finishing on this. But for the most part it’s drilling holes, trimming and filling.

Fiberglass fitting sucks being alone. Opening, closing the hood and doors while trying to keep the fender in the right spot sucked

On mine I used rubber well nuts. This made it so if I ever hooked a flap it wouldn’t destroy the glass. Glad I did too, because I tore a couple of flaps off now. But zero damage to the glass.

What are your expectations on look? might be adding fiberglass, bondo, and sanding for hours if you want perfection.

Interesting. That's what I was afraid of, didn't know if you guys attached it directly to the fiberglass or made custom brackets

I used L brackets and well nuts. 100% don’t recommend making them true solid mounted.

Thanks. Rise I understood... But with the over fender flares on so many of the factory trucks I was hoping it was off of that... Cuts, then custom for me I suppose:bananadead:

TBH these fiberglass companies (Fiberwerx, ADV, McNiel) while the best in the business, definitely aren't super specific about this.

I just let my stock fenders selfcearance themselves..
    20240413_181022.jpg

J/K .. I have a set of stock fenders that I've been getting ready to install, almost done with them. And hopefully I'll get to install them in the next two weekends.

Since we’re talking about glass… anyone else have ADV glass that the gap between the hood and fender is absurd? Like mines almost an inch. All of the other body lines are pretty good. Just that one sucks.

Mine were pretty bad. Had a shop do it initially. I messed with it a couple times. Trying to remount it closer, but that messed up other areas.

Maybe you got a bad one, my advs fit nice, was even able to trim my under headlight garnish to fit as well as stock. Only lines that arent perfect is the fender to door. About a 1/2 gap difference between both sides. Want some garbage then get the mcneil +2 bedsides. They were trash.
