About to pull the trigger on a new budget sound system, wanted to get some input from the experts. Spent the past week doing some research on it hopefully its solid. Also sound deadening the cab, but this thread is about the sound system.

The amp only pushes out 45 watts per channel, i want something that i can keep hidden behind the dash, and small enough that i don't have to re run speaker wire. I'm hoping in addition to the sound deadening and proofing i am doing, it will be enough. Thoughts?

    Current Head unit ILX-W650
Have a 12" sub fitted for behind the rear sit in the back of the garage, ill use this for now.

The equipment I'm planning on buying is

Amp, will bury this behind the dash.

what brought you to selecting those particular speakers? are you shopping only on price, or did you have a specific brand preference you're following?

it's not an extremely budget setup, but the gear you're getting, the money is tending to go more towards the brand than the audio quality.

also, don't forget you'll need an amp power wire kit, and you'll also need some adapter cables to get the signal into the stock wiring-- i don't believe crutchfield stocks or offers such harnesses.

I would advise against burying an amp in the dash. Amps need to dissipate heat. Also, if the power cable comes loose, it may ground on anything and cause your fuse to blow or worse. Consider mounting under the seat instead.
