Added a trickle charging cable to my generator. Luckily HF put an oil drain plug port on each side so I didn’t need to drill anything to get the cable to exit the case cleanly.

Anyone have the truck ladder? I'm getting too old to be jumping up into and down from the bed. I'm at the point where I need a better way. Looked at the bolt on steps, but I really don't like the idea of something hanging off the back bumper. I've considered the folding step stool option as well. 13 inches just doesn't seem high enough.

What say the collective wisdom? Other options?

EDIT: Bought the same one as HF carries for a little less online, with free shipping. I'll review it when it gets here.

Well….naturally the item I waited to buy for months goes on an even bigger sale a couple weeks after I buy it. Ahh well, I still think $100 was a good deal

    That's a good price - I bought one of those 8ish years ago for $89 I believe...

And the biggest difference in the jacks that I pay attention to is how high they can lift as sometimes it makes a difference when trying to droop suspension from a particular part of the vehicle like a frame rail when replacing leaf springs or the center cross member to get both sides off the ground.

That’s why I wanted this one. I could have went with the extended length jack that lifts an extra 5” but after measuring my jack points I figured I stick with this one since it was plenty enough to get my front end off the ground

27” chest and top box came in today. Got the email saying to pick up the chest, then it took them damn near an hour to try and figure out why it didn’t flag the top for pickup too. Whoever unloaded the truck last night didn’t scan the top in I guess. Ordered about 2.5wks ago, not bad wait time.

There was one dent in the bottom side sheet metal, not worth bringing it back for and straightened it out with some wrenches.

Now I just need to find a day to reorganize my garage to make room for it and move everything over :anonymous:

I really like my compact 1/2 drive Hercules impact. It will remove lugs that were properly Torqued @ 100 ft/lbs. Unfortunately I find my lugs tightened north of that setting.

I recently saw a pocket knife from icon, picked it up. It's actually quite nice.

While I have 3 full size axes for real work, the lighter weigh means that it doesn't wear me out for a quick clearing job, I keep it in my truck for clearing smaller trees/larger branches when I walk the dog in the woods. I really like how the handle is very comfortable in my hand and the end of the handle has a very slight curve to it that I dont know how to explain but it makes it more comfy especially for one handed use.
