I’m fortunate and I don’t mind paying for quality. Lots of info online for the “cheapest” or the “best” off road lights, but I don’t want cheap, and I just gotta believe that buying the “top brands” means spending a lot for the name recognition, and I don’t want to pay for that. I just want quality. What brand do you suggest? Thanks

What type of lights are you looking for recommendations for? There's an excellent couple threads on fog lamps (actual fogs, not "spot/flood/random" lamps, and street legal driving lamps at the top of the forum. Lots of different lamps tested and compared there.

I guess I didn’t really say, did I? I’m looking for off road driving lights. I guess I missed the comparison threads. Oops. But BD is exactly what I’m talking about when I say I don’t want to pay for name recognition. Obviously they have great lights. But it’s hard to believe they can justify being as much more expensive as they are.

Still to vague, what location? Fog lights, bumper light bar, ditch lights, roof light bar, scene lighting?
I have had a variety of lights from diode dynamics and baja designs aswell as rigid and they will all work but at the end of the day I am partial to baja designs but my diode products have been quite good aswell. Depending on how much you want to add investing in a switch panel is worth it early on.

I got mocked semi regularly for the abundance of lighting but everything is situational and nothing runs all at once unless it's simply for show

We can throw suggestions at you all day long, but without being realistic with your goals, we're just guessing about what we think you mean when you say "offroad lights." If you think Baja Designs lights are too pricey, then you probably don't need what they're offering. They're the best of the best for a reason - their quality outperforms time and time again. But what does that mean to you if your goals are just an LED light bar that doesn't leak and is really bright to use once or twice every few months? The market exists for a reason; different quality lights at different price points, to achieve different goals. In my opinion, I don't think there's any "fair" comparison out there that tests all of the "best quality" lights, because even between the best of the best brands, the products differ tremendously.

FWIW, if quality is what you're after, Baja Designs and Diode Dynamics pretty much cover anything you'd want or need. If you don't like the prices, quality isn't what you're after, and thats honestly okay; lots of us find ourselves here, and we choose cheaper quality solutions. Turns out, many of us don't "need" what we "want" to have; for us, there's cheap knockoff products.
