    @Pittsy

One of my Raptor customers came with an engine knocking noise.

Piston #1 has left the Chat and tried to leave through the Oil Pick Up..

I do not want to overland it. I want it to be a reliable DD for my wife that’s good enough to go pre run when my truck is broken and not be disappointed. Also want it to tow my truck to glamis

    Well
If you got that plastic oil pan he shows, you should start with getting rid of that first

My buddies at ford replaced it with another plastic one. They said they’ve never had one come back leaking after they replace it. The raptor has plenty of skids to keep me from bonking it hopefully. The motor just got fully resealed a few months ago

I had the same question about McNeill's +2" and they said past the flare.

been using the same VP jug for both the dirtbikes and truck since about 2002, those holders are trick, I'm going to have to pick up a set, thanks for the link!!

add some 1/4" thick foam strip wherever the jug contacts the metal to keep it from wearing away the plastic as it bounces around in the mount.

There were 2-3 styles of factory flares for 1st gens so it may be different for those. Plus the molds for those are probably 20+ years old. Besides the owners there’s probably no one working there that was around when they were first made in at least one of those companies and even the owner is different in ADV (who was probably learning how to spell his name back then).

Thats how my ADV glass is up front too.
All the lines are great except a 1" gap between the fender and hood. I take some responsibility for it tho as I'd never installed glass before, even, and didn't fully know what I was doing.

You think it will be ok bouncing in the truck at speed/desert runs? The mount/top does squeeze the jug nicely.

YW on the mount, I gotta say it is pretty stout.

They gave me cost plus 10 on parts and labor so I’ll do whatever they want

I finally got bigger tires 2020 Long Travel Tacoma 1997 MAGNUM
Those vp cans are super durable

I prefer LC gas cans, since they have another handle towards the bottom of the container. It makes it 100x easier to pour

Why's that? I like their form factor; being flat makes things easier to pack for me.

Nobody does this but me apparently
But the rotopax also hide super well inside the fender well mounted to the bed in the same void of the fender well where the tailight is
