2014 Toyota Tacoma - How do I convert my standard pig tail to plug and play LED light assembly?

I bought some VIPMOTOZ Neon Tube LED taillight assemblies and went to switch them out with my old taillights. They assembly fits perfect but they have two direct plug and play connectors while my truck has a pig tail assembly. I looked online and can't find a converter for plug and play to pig tail. I read online that you shouldn't splice the wires because the LED pulls less power and the lights will flicker. Is this true? Also the plug and play on the new LEDs has one harness with two wires and then a second harness with four wires. The stock taillights have a harness with two wires and then another with three wires. Basically, the new headlights have one extra wire. I'm guessing the additional wire on the LED assembly is an additional ground, but there are no specs online (that I can find) or in the box. I'm not super knowledgeable about electrical stuff, so forgive me if I used the wrong words on some of this stuff. So, two questions:
    1. Is there a converter I can buy for pig tail to plug and play for a taillight assembly?
    2. Can I splice the wires and to my old pig tail connector?
    Help!

    In my humble opinion.
In light of the fact that you admitted don't know much about electrical wiring etc...
Return the LED Tail Lights you bought. (they should have included instructions).
LED lights only cause more problems than they are worth.

Now I'll get roasted for my opinion of LED Conversions....
That is Okay I have on my asbestos under-drawers.

Welcome to Tacoma World. Do you have any pictures of the connectors/wires on the new LED taillights?

I upgraded tails on my 2015 a few years back to some Spyder-brand lights from eBay but sometimes also sold under the VIPMOTOZ seller/brand. They work fine but I had to buy a different Toyota pigtail harness 81555-04150 since the socket shape was different than the one my truck had (see full details here in my build thread, I'm too lazy to copy/paste it all over here). After that it worked fine. See a side-by-side of the connectors below: very close but a noticeable difference. Maybe this is all you need?

Pictures of said plugs and such would be helpful in figuring this out.

so modify factory harness or add new one?
