2024 Offroad manual base model

Hey guys/gals this is my new 2024. I made a few other posts. In Dec I traded a 18 Pro Tacoma in on a Lexus NX 300 because I had also just bought a kei truck. 5 months later I am just not happy with the seating on the Lexus. I have had a couple back surgeries and it's just more comfortable to sit higher. So that's why I just made a deal on this 24. 2024 Offroad manual base. It was $51k Canadian and they threw in the black muffler tip. They gave me 32k for my Lexus....I did loose a few dollars on it that's for sure but live and learn. So I owe 19k plus tax is 22,950 I am gonna put 10k down and finance the 13 over 36 months. Glad to be back on Tacoma world. I go pick it up on the 27th two weeks from today.

Tell me about the Kei truck.

 

Well I was on the couch in Nov with a dandy buzz on. Saw it on a website in Japan sent it to a broker in Calgary.He said $8400 Canadian shipped from Japan with insurance,duties, brokers cut,. Thought that was reasonable then 3k to ship across the country to PEI. So I went for it not ever importing anything at all before and giving someone across the country $8400 he had good reviews he said 4 months roughly that was Nov20th and 4minths to the day March 20th it landed at my house and am so happy the thing is like brand new. 1999 Daihatsu Hijet had to be a Daihatsu since Toyota owns them. Has to be 25 years to register in my province only has 13k km and is in mint condition. So I have only had it about 3.5 weeks. Gotta have the dice in the mirror haha and that is my slow racecar Yaris I love it but my gf hates it we just built and I need a bigger garage already ahhaahaa

I was at my local Toyota dealer for something else. They had demo 2024 Tacoma TRD OffRoad manual. MSRP over $44,000, door was locked. I did not talked to sales.

So why does it take 2 weeks to take delivery of it? Just curious if things are different north.

 

Probably just personal logistics. I'm retired but I move cars around for a few dealerships. Might be a good job for me..lol

 

It prob tops out at 90km. It's in another province so two Saturdays from today is when I am free to drive over to pick it up. Parked in the garage the Yaris is 1ft longer.

 

It's all an illusion....
