    Hello,

I was given a 1996 tacoma (motor destroyed). I Purchased a 2001+ motor without harness or ecu not knowing there is a difference. All I knew was the new motor did not have distributor and had a valve cover that needed coil packs. I was able to get a used 2002 harness, but now I'm stuck trying to figure out getting an ecu. I have no way of matching part number on the original ecu for this motor. I am willing to purchase a brand new programmed ecu, but I cannot match part number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Part number for harness is:
    82121-3g670d

Ok, thank you for the links. As for "programming" what does that mean exactly?

let me check and see if I still have the harness for my '01 2RZ that I v6 swapped... I know I still have the ECU and igniter (which I think you also need as they are different on the non distributor variation)
