3rd Gen Owners with King Coilovers

Hello. Picked up a set of used king fronts. Anyone know the size of the upper bolts or a website that I can pick them up from? Thanks in advance

 

Misspelling sorry 3.0 Kings with IPB, internal bypasses & adjustable resis. I got the 2” N98 springs from you guys with the 3.0’s in the rear & it’s definitely 2” lift.

Doing the most innocuous offroading in some sand, I had my passenger coil snap.

Not sure what caused it, but it's pretty disappointing when I don't live in the rust belt and I'm pretty gentle on my truck. I'm a trail turtle, so I know it's not from abuse.

@AccuTune Offroad how quickly can I get a set of replacements? I want to switch to 650's anyways, as I intend to install a hybrid bumper soon.

Thanks! I've got a buddy hooking me up with some 650 Eibachs today... not King blue (silver), but I'm pretty sure I'll survive.

Out of curiosity, how do you think my valving will do? You guys originally set these up for 600's...

2 years in the PNW and springs had a failure. Any thoughts from you how this could be? Any warranty from AT or King?

There could be a few things going on, hard to say without diving deeper into the issue. Too much preload & coil bind are my first thoughts. Unfortunately I don't think this would fall under a manufacture defect. Its hard to prove the springs were not misused etc.

 

I really don't want to jump in here but there is no fast silliness in WA, no rust, and bumps spaced for the lift and LCAs.

Why pay the price, or for that fact trust them if actually going silly in the desert?

All repaired... still need to adjust the new ride height and get an alignment, buts she's rolling.

Agreed. Looks like there's only the thinest sliver of silver that must have been keeping it together prior to this weekend.

Needless to say, I'll add "coil inspection" to the list of regular checks. I still think this failure is wild, given the use condition.
