Ugh. Alternator crapped out on the truck today. Looks like I'll be running to Dolan or CC Toyota tomorrow to pick up a replacement.

Fortunately I was close to home and my battery had a decent charge so I could make it home. Hope I didn't kill the battery too...ran it down to 11.9V before I made it home. It's on the tender now.

In December I was running up Alum Creek around 5:15a, still dark out, and ran into a lion. It was about 30 yards out, way to close for comfort. I yelled at it and it sauntered off about 15 yards, hopped up on a rock and just glared down at me. I yelled again and it hopped off the rock and straight disappeared. I ended up walking backwards down the trail for about 15 minutes before I kind of felt comfortable running again. The whole way home I kept looking over my shoulder convinced it was stocking me. Like a week after that I saw the same eyes in some brush on the ditch trail and then the following week my buddy saw it cross the ditch trail while he was running. So there is definitely an active one that's made that area its territory. Pretty awesome but kind of sketchy too.

The 4Runner alternator went out on Sunday. Internal short. Wonderful smell and dropped the battery to 1-5 volts for about an hour before I could get a fucking 10mm to disconnect it (zero tools in her car). I’m sure your battery at 11.9 will be just fine.

Yeah battery held a charge just fine. Wrestling the alternator out with the supercharger belts, pulleys, and brackets in the way is fun.

Hey Zack thanks again for the Foresters. They were a hit. We polished off 3 bottles worth the other night.

Sweet deal! Sent it to a couple friends who may be interested. How’s the rope condition?

It's in good condition. I've only used it like 2 - 3 times.

Fuck those things. Swapping bushings on a steering rack is the worst idea ever. I burn through the racks way quicker than the bushings.

Not to take away from your free post, that's nice of you

If you don't get any other takers, I'll give you $650 for the winch and fairlead. Not going to resell, just looking for a winch, but the aftermarket fairlead doesn't quite add $200 in my eyes. No factory fairlead with it still?

I don't have the stock Fairlead anymore.

I bought the factor 55 Fairlead for $110
And the factor55 hook for $180

I could do $675 for the winch and Fairlead if you're interested
