I recently upgraded my old Dell to a SSD and my HP from a NVMe 500GB to 1TB. I also upgraded my RAM but that's a story for another day. Anyway I had also been using external HDDs for backups but solid state drives have spoiled me to the point I'm also using them (SSD/M2) for my backups. So now I have a bunch of working HDDs laying around. I can sanitize them with a third party disk wipe but is anyone buying this old tech? Or should I just give them the Barney Fife 'pow pow pow' with a monster maul and move on?

I use a couple of my bigger spinning drives for offsite archival storage. Anything smaller than a terabyte gets taken apart for the magnets

Spin up a plex server or something and use an external HDD dock. Free movies never hurt nobody
