Found this on Ebay, I just want the tone ring and collar. It's Japanese manufactured, should be ok and I'll just keep the bearings/seals in the kit on standby since the new ones are in and the truck is finally quiet. Just leaks oil all over.

    Making progress.
This is where is started, way too far down.

Barely got the splitter under it.

    Made this thing.

    Crossed fingers.

It worked. I did scar up the lower collar, but it doesn't seal against anything so I'm good with it. I guess the splitter was tighter than I realized.

Other side next, more pics to come. I need a lunch break.

I have learned a lesson the hard way, either do the damn things yourself or take it to no one but the dealer or a reputable 4x4 shop. Never have it done by a catch all shop.
    Side by side comparison.

Sweet gouge, obviously they cut the damn things off.

    Seal witness marks.
I ended up pushing it back down just over a 16th of an inch as it locked up with the flange bolts tight.
I did the passenger the same depth and both are rotating free, no weird sounds anymore, no oil dripping off the back plate.

Proof for the mechanic that I did indeed get the seal at the right depth and not deformed.
Damn thing goes in one way and only to a certain depth, period.

Needed help bleeding the brakes. Just a leg and foot to pump the pedal. I have no help.
So I did it myself. Made a vacuum chamber to pull the fluid thru the lines. There are ready made units out there of course, I had one long ago and the vacuum pump is all that remains.
No pics of the process as brake fluid and cell phones don't play well.

Ended up filling the quart jar before all the bubbles went away.
Just a bong for brake fluid :rasta:
