I am trying to buy another wheel for a spare that matches the rest. I asked the seller/maker (RockTrix) if it would hold up like steel and fit under my 2022 Tacoma OD 5FT bed... If the holder/carrier with fit through a 70 mm/2.75"... So I was just wondering if anyone knew the size of the carrier/holder... Yes I can and will crawl under to look and measure what mine is but it's pouring and will continue to for the next 5 days... I have looked through the other topics in spares.. If I missed it please just give me the link... I am not asking if my tire will fit, but the carrier will fit through the center cap hole!!! Attached is the text they sent me.. Amazing customer service...

Tacoma wheels need to be hub-centric and have a center bore, aka the hole in the middle of the wheel, of 106mm. Are you saying the wheels your purchased have a 70mm center bore? Not sure those will fit at the axles themselves much less in the spare tire position.

Which specific wheel did you purchase? Link?

For refererence, I have SCS BR6 wheels and they fit just fine on my 2015 (2nd gen but same as your 2022 for the spare tire area).

Those should be fine and have the correct 106.1mm center bore. Wheel itself should mount fine on the spare tire carrier, but actual fitment will depend more on the tire size. I believe you can fit up to like 33" tires under the stock location with some gentle persuasion of the mounting tabs, anything bigger though...

Excuse my ignorance but will the wheel get scratched up hanging under there by the hanger and road debris... Either way, it has to be better than the 16 as a spare with 17's on the truck with a 2in lift..

I am going with 275/70, so it should fit great!

just make sure you hang the wheel with the face up (towards the bed) so it doesn't get scratched by the carrier. the tire should give the wheel some protection from touching anything.
