The "Black Plate with White Numbers" use to be a plate that only rich folks in Delaware
wanted on their cars. You buy a number and it's yours for the rest of your life. Unless you
sell the plate to someone else. 30 years ago very few people had that plate. So it was a status
symbol. Now every wanna be rich person has one.

I've only lived in Delaware since Fall/2006 and I've never investigated the reason for the Black DE plate w/white letters.

All I've ever heard is...they are expensive.

So, the black plate is a status symbol for being wealthy?

    Interesting...

Good morning Delaware + neighboring states.

Work released at 2:30pm yesterday so I came home and worked on the yard...more so, the front yard.

I still have plenty of weeds to pull around the perimeter of the house...so I can see the white rocks! lol

The evening was closed out by washing my truck for a second time this week (Sunday was 1st) because of the pollen.

I woke up this morning and more pollen was on my truck...at about 9:30-10am today, we had a nice downpour...rolling my eyes!

At least the pollen was rinsed off my truck...fingers crossed.

    Hey Eric!

    More yardwork done yesterday...more weed-pulling.

I can start to see the white rocks that were covered with different types of weeds.

Since I sit, almost pretzel-like with my legs extended...even 20 minutes of extending over will stiffen my back--luckily, I just lay back on the grass to flatten my spine.

I added another round of "weed/feed" on Tuesday since I saw there was a 40% chance of rain on Wednesday.

Seems like a trip to Lowe's is in order for ant bait traps as well as weed killer spray...something other than roundup.

I’ve been slowly pulling weeds but need to spray. I should add more lawn food to help keep everything green.

I bought one of those pole weed pullers and it helps out with some of the weeds but can’t get them all.

    Hey Eric,

Oil change went well...$8/hr and I had to buy 5W-20 synthetic oil for the Elantra.

I buy the oil filter/crush washer from the dealership for the last two filters...I used the last one today.

    Just ordered 2EA from Amazon.

Looking at the underside of my wife's Elantra, there is basically no rust under there...I mean, I couldn't see any.

2017 Elantra bought new in May will be 7 years old next month and has 49,777 miles.

I bought an AMG battery for it a couple years ago (1st battery lasted 5yrs) and she runs fine!

Good morning Delaware + surrounding states.

    Here it is Wednesday already!

I've been feeling better since getting over my food poisoning.

I'm Dangerous Goods qualified as well as Officially Forklift Operator authorized.

We've got an audit next week so we are preparing for that as well as tidying up our warehouse storage area.

Weather is nice and cool these days...I've been pulling weeds all around my house and yesterday, I had to till some weeds from between the fence; my saving grace was the ground is soft!

I've done weed/feed like 3 times since late Feb/early March and I'm getting ready to do one more round.

My yard is looking fantastic and I'm very happy with the results of my labor. :)

    Morning DE friends.

    good to hear you’re recovered!

I need to feed our lawn again too just to be sure. It’s nice and green right now and I want to keep it that way. I usually add a few bags of different seed types but I don’t seem to have any bald spots this year. I think I’ll need to aerate the lawn come fall.
