I've already added OEM mudflaps. Now looking at OEM power tailgate lock and OEM bed step. Oughta buy a dashcam because of the frequent idiots that I encounter.

I recently purchased a Lomax tri-fold hard cover, but it just wasn't going to work out with some of the stuff I carry, so it's up for sale. I'll probably be replacing it with a soft roll-up.

What I really need right now is a pollen repellent system; but can't find one with good reviews.

A front camera that allows you to also switch to either camera while moving. I personally like the one that uses the MODE button on the steering wheel. I use the front when parking in parking lots and the rear comes in handy to see if I left my tailgate down. I almost lost all my tools the other day because I ran to the autoparts store and forgot to put my tailgate up.

 

I was thinking about getting this. I am aware about quicker/responsive acceleration. Does the pedal commander help with mpg?

 

Pedal commander didn’t help with mpg for me, but did change the character of the taco. Can’t go back to the stock sluggish feel.

 

I saw a review of that in YouTube. Pretty interesting but if that only the benefit of the mod, I am thinking twice about it.

 

It’s definitely worth the upgrade even if there’s no mpg savings. It makes driving the truck much more tolerable. Feels like it accelerates “faster” because less pedal travel equates to more throttle opening (drive by wire) compared to stock.

 

Just took mine off. My Taco started throwing up brake/accelerator malfunction codes and went into limb mode. I had to drive the last 2 miles to my house at 4mph. PedalCommander might be more reliable. I have an appointment at thedealership to check the codes just to make sure. I uninstalled the 9 drive so they wouldn’t know I had thisthing hooked up.

 

I will keep my opinions about OBD pedal controllers to myself, but I saw this video posted on a thread here a while back and thought it was compelling

The cheapest, best bang-for-the-buck mod for me was getting rid of the door chime every time I parked. some guy on here created a fix. He was hustling the fix for $30. I used an old credit card and ten minutes of time. All good!
