3rd Gen Maintenance Maps - Get 300k+ miles

Curious, but anyone ever notice that in brand new Toyota Pink coolant straight from the dealership, it has these fiberglass looking floaty crystal looking things?

I later even poured some out into a cup, and sure enough they haven't left the chat.

Also should be noted, I didn't see any in the coolant I drained, just in the coolant I put back into the truck.

Is that normal? Do they melt with heat or time?

Never heard of or seen anything like it before.

 

@Soft Taco any issue using Valvoline 75-90 synthetic in diff's? Or should I try and fine Mobile 1 or Redline?

 

I use synthetic Mobil 1

$29 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75w-90 in my diffs and OEM 75w in the T case. Your Valvoline will be just fine.

Thank you! I left them off on purpose as many of the tasks are drain and fills and you decide how much fluid you want to run through to refresh/replace.

Im going to pump out some fresh 3rd gen arts in a bit with a regular trim instead of an overlander style. Will this appease if one is inferno?

Sorry I missed this. Always check the dipstick and look closely. The .2 I still recommend. I tend to buy everything 5qts so the remaining second 5qt can be used on the next change etc.
