Went to help my buddy recover his XJ that wouldn't start up at the top of Rollins Pass. Towed him down to Rollinsville to get towed home. Not really a trip, but it sure was beautiful out there. Conditions were perfect and the trail was bumpy but clear(never been up there before).

One of my favorite trails!!! Redcone, and Radical Hill are just the right combination of fun and scenic!

Not my trip report, but thought it would fit here.

It's fun to watch these Australians drive all over their own country. Pretty cool to hear their take on a few different trails in Colorado that I will probably never do.

Anyone been out wheeling recently? Looking to hit something up the weekend of 11/25. Would love to hit some higher elevation trails w/ good scenery and some rock obstacles, but I'm not sure which areas are still free of snow. I live in Denver, but am open to travelling somewhere farther out since I'm planning to camp that weekend. Let me know!

For interest, here's a pic of me and @LunarTaco13 wheeling out in Breck a couple weeks back:

what I liked the most I've watched many of this series, and some how missed that the Mits Alloy Tacoma is I think one I've seen so many times around the Tualatin Oregon area, close to where I work. know MULE Expedition outfitters is one of the West coast retailers. ill have to look see if it is in fact one of the trucks I've seen or if they all build MGM 3rd gens for the traybacks.

Bumping this - anyone been out wheeling recently and have recommendations on trails that aren't snow covered yet? Thanks!

Howdy, I'm looking for information on Schofield Pass and Devil's Punch Bowl for an upcoming trip to Crested Butte.

I was discussing it on another message board and folks there mentioned the trail.

How is it in our trucks? How's the width?

Unless some boulders have moved, it’s tight in a 2nd gen in one spot. My smaller 1st gen barely made it around.

Yep, don't think it has changed much since I ran it. Narrow area is right above Devil's Punch bowl and there is a large rock that forces you right to the edge. Think it all depends on your comfort level on driving "shelf roads".

Here is a trip report from 9/29/2023.

I did not find it too narrow. However there is a section lined with bushes that may create new pinstripes on a wider vehicle. There were a couple of full sized 4 door Jeeps about 400 yards behind me. No one was coming up while I was coming down. If there were, it would be sketchy. I’ve been on narrower trails with steep dropoffs (ie Italian Creek FS 759). However I drive a first gen and shelf roads don’t bother me. Definitely a beautiful drive.

A "Life's short, ditch work" excursion was held at Holy Cross City Friday. I choose to ride along with @Tacofire98 and @Squeaky Penguin.
I had a great time watching how an extra transfer case and some bigger tires enables our trucks to crawl up and over the biggest obstacles Holy Cross has to offer. We hiked up to Cleveland Lake at ~ 11,700 feet - breathtaking!

Oops! That's not right. @Tacofire98's cotter pin went missing, nut backed off and the ball joint separated.
Installed a spare ball joint, since the original's threads were not perfect, and 40 minutes later, we were back on track.
