    09 AC 4x4 with a bunch of shit bolted/welded on it, and some other shit removed. I like the current ride height, and want to try to keep it right about where it is while changing from 5100s/OME 885s to 6112s/650# coils.

    Based on the nominal lift values at Headstrong, I have the following suspension math, dealing strictly with the front for now. Current leaf pack (Dakars) still have some life in them, so I'll deal with those later, probably by giving Alcan a call with my split weights.

    What's on it now: B5100s, OME 885s on the bottom notch. Nominal +2.5" lift in front

    What I want: B6112s at #9/#7 are +1.8", and the 650# coils are +0.5" = nominal +2.3"

    I'm not concerned about the nominal 0.2" difference, and realize that it won't be an exact swap if for no other reason than the new coils are shorter and stiffer, and the difference in coil length does not perfectly cancel out the difference in spring rate.

    Obviously my actual lift over stock is less than the nominal value due to ARB/winch/skids/sliders, but as these variables are constant for this comparison, they've been discarded - I am assuming that these nominal values can be compared in this way, despite the differences in e.g. spring rate, coil height, perch distance, preload, and so forth.

    Can someone who knows more than I do, or at least thinks they do, either confirm that my logic is sound or else tell me what I've missed?

    Sounds about right. Maybe add up your front weight before hand too. Can always bump a clip if its not high enough. Looks like you still have 2 more clip bumps to dial it in. I just wouldnt go higher than 23" center of hub to fender.

    Make sure to do a quick drive after the install as the front will drop about an inch after taking it off the stands and driving. Also take into account that new springs settle after about 1k miles too.
