2011 tacoma 4.0 4dr 6ft bed . Mice ate the airbag wiring harness located on right side rear interior under panels by seat (yellow wires that run the length of the truck). Part #82162-04131 from Toyota. Cannot find it anywhere. Toyota said they don't have them and currently looking for used one. Does anyone know where I can find one new or used? I have VIN if needed. Thanks guys

Only other place I would know is a salvage yard but they typically don't catalog wiring harnesses.

Did they chew them too close to the connectors to repair or why are you wanting to replace the whole harness?

Dm93 thank you for reply. I had an emergency. Yes they're telling me it's too close to connector but I don't think so. Unfortunately I'm going thru insurance for other damage as well. If it's truly not too close to connector, what would be an avg. price to repair the wire and connector? And since it's an airbag wire they want a liability waiver signs. Thoughts?

I can't tell you what to do, being it's a critcal safety system I can see why a shop wouldn't want the liability of attempting to repair it. Insurance being involved complicates things too as they likely have an approved repair process.

If it was mine I wouldn't be afraid of properly splicing on a new connector.

As far as price that's gona depend what the connector costs and the labor rates in your area, I can't imagine it being more than an hour of labor plus the part cost.

Lakeland Toyota claims that part is in stock, it’s like $400 though, otherwise I’d probably try to find one in a junkyard

Lakeland in Florida said they don't have it -misprint on sight.. Thanks guys for input. I can fix most things but wiring and electronics not my cup of tea. I'm stopping at the place this week to see if they have a remedy for it. I wish I knew it was this issue b4 I brought it there. My buddy's and I could do it it. I'm trying to post a pic of it. Thanks again Randy & DM!

The pick and pulls I tried near me don't have one either , it's Vin specific. I could broaden my search area but at this point just want to solder it back together...

Looks like there might be enough wire left on that connector to make a repair without replacing it but it's hard to tell.

I wouldn't be afraid at all to repair that, it's in the interior behind a panel so very low chance of it getting moisure in it or it being disturbed.
