Hey guys, I recently got a 6x10 enclosed trailer and was towing it east on I84. Well I got to a camp site and noticed that my hitch was BENT down with the chains dragging (it looks like the bumper was falling off). I just inspected it 50 miles prior and it was perfect, so I think maybe I hit a bump a little hard going down the gravel road.

Anyway... I'm looking for recommendations for someone reliable that can repair/readjust the hitch somewhere close along the I84 (my plan is to leave the trailer here to not risk disaster). The frame looks fine, but a couple of the bolt holes holding the hitch are deformed (oddly only a couple and most are fine). I'm in a 2014 Tacoma with tow package (DCLB, V6, 4X4). I already readjusted the weight on the trailer more over the axle, but I was always taught to load heavy forward to avoid sway. Perhaps I was a bit overzealous there, lol.

Please HELP. I'm a paramedic going to fire camp so I can work wildland fires this year. Luckily I have a week before it starts in Mountain Home, ID. Appreciate any and all recommendations!

I don’t know the Hermiston area at all but if it’s welding that is needed it seems like any competent fab shop ought to be able to get you squared away.

Thanks. It actually looks like I'm missing 2 most forward bolts (one on each side)!! Not sure how that happened and there's no sign that they were ever there... I should be able to grab the bolts at a dealership hopefully on Monday. Maybe I can take one of the middle bolts out and put them in the empty spots as that seems to be where a lot of the stress is applied (assuming I can get it back into place/aligned).

I'll still need a welder to fill in the holes where they were stretched/deformed...
