Mrs Green was at a sale over the w-end and did me a solid.

    KIMG3933.jpg

Not a truck or even a T4R but still a cool bit of swag for her to use on road trips.

    KIMG3932.jpg

:gossip: Like the majority of women it seems, Mrs Green is freezing all the time, makes road trips challenging sometimes.

39" wide was a common door width back in the day.
But, drilling 39" and retaining them with bar stock and nuts means they were designed to be disassembled for some reason, like to clean. Old true butcher's blocks were put together this way, so eventually peices could be replaced and disassembled to clean them.
Hmmm, a mystery but I would buy 4 of them if I were closer! Matching up multiple holes for 39" is no joke and definitely worth a lot more than $40 after a woodworker got through with it.

So, we had really high winds do a lot of damage last night a few miles from my house. Zero warnings. Uprooted 100 year old trees. Killed three people. Fences, outbuildings and roofs blown off.
    Zero warnings.
Weather people are saying a microburst with winds 60 mph. I know a little about math and know a gust of 60 mph is not that bad. But 75 mph is really bad, because the force of wind goes up exponentially instead of linearly.
What I saw when I went down there were trees blown down in all directions, not just one direction.
Now, I am not saying they are lying...
But no horns went off. No special alerts. No nothing other than a thunderstorm watch. Oh, it had golf ball size hail.
I live in a place that has large city news and weather. They ALL missed it.

To me, the smarter we are, the less we have to depend on these people.

We knew about it because a friend of old Tom called him who lives a bit west of here to warn him of Hail. He called me. I called a buddy who lives a few miles east to warn him.
Finally, here is a pic taken last night five miles south of me. No tornado? CYA much?

This is a good group with good common sense. This is just a reminder to take what officials say with a grain of salt.

And I'm going to be 'the old guy' here....
Years ago if there was a TORNADO WARNING it meant that....
    A tornado had been spotted
It was probably on the ground
    You better cover yo a$$

Just a few nights ago my area was issued a TORNADO WARNING, I hardly batted an eye when I read further...
    *doppler indicated rotation

This means nothing to me. The clouds are turning in the air. At what, 45k feet? I dont care about that. There should be a DOPPLER INDICATED ROTATION warning.
The wind never got above 15mph.
