Trac Rac has been working out well since new. Have carried 80lb behemoths to 40lb lightweight canoes, offroad, backroads and 1000's of kms on long trips. Depending on the rocker of the canoe, spacers may be needed to keep the bow from touching the cab. Just be careful backing up!

I have an OEM roof rack, what i do, is i take the harbour freigh bed extender and instead of putting the long side in the trailer hitch to make the bed longer, I insert the short side into he trailer hitch so that the long side is sticking strait up. Then I put the "T" on top. It turns out that the "t" is the same height as the OEM roof rack :) I use it to haul like 18' and 20' lumber also

    kinda looks like this

I mean it’s a pick up truck so how about you strap it in the bed

The OEM roof racks are pretty tough and fold away easy. Don't underestimate them :) good luck with whatever route you chose bro! Let us know how it goes :)

Prinsu here. This is why we bought it.
I like that it carries the canoe up above the truck - no overhang at the back - this helps when we are pulling our trailer at the same time.

Rhino Vortex bars on cab roof. Rhino Pioneer Rack on top of canopy. Three tie down straps to steel islets and foam blocks to stop rattling.
