I've got a 6" procomp lift and Kings with reservoirs on the front and back. I was wondering if anyone with a similar size lift has CVJ axles? Im looking into replacing my old napa CV axles with these due to cracked inner boots and grease getting everywhere. Unfortunately Toyota in Hawaii doesnt have any OEM axles and shipping from the mainland is a huge cost. Thanks!

Why do you have 6” lift

    Just googled 6” pro comp
Seeing pics of drop bracket, front spacers, rear blocks
Seems like something one gets to ruin and weaken the truck for 0 performance gain.

Yes people run CJV for good factory quality with the option of longer boots that they sell separately to put on a stock axle, rather than boot slide mod.

At 2” height while my boot ribs haven’t rubbed themselves apart, if I could go back in time to when I replaced my boots on the bench with Genuine, I would do it with the red boots from CVJ.

the best CV for angle is probably RCV. Expensive. And goes with LT where it’s unavoidable.

boots don’t last forever and NAPA is probably not as good as engine. Aftermarket is what I have for a temporary trail spare.

Thanks for your response and opinions on the topic. Its good to hear other owners experiences with products.

With the kings w/ reservoirs there are no front spacers. Also in the rear I did add a leafs so there are no rear blocks as well. It rides great and offroads solid in Hawaii, which is what I use this truck for. Only problem Ive had issues with is the CV boots ripping and then spitting grease.

Ive looked at RCV and its more than double the price of CVJ and from the brief research ive done, you have a chance to mess up the front diff.

If I could go back and rebuild, I would have just done long travel instead of the drop bracket.
