IMO best bang for the buck is hands down the TRD OR.

Ive bought 3 Pros new off the lot in the last 6 years -- I figured I'm on Toyota's radar as a repeat customer!

Except with no manual option in the highest trims, my interest isn't there. Then you look at the Auto/hybrid offering and the competition in the truck/SUV space is fierce that there really isn't a compelling reason for me to pick a tacoma vs. even a 4runner.

Hybrid Tacoma models will accumulate on dealer lots just like the Tundras are, especially the TRD-Pro with its laughable seat package. Power on the iForce is good enough; its not worth the $3700 upcharge for the hybrid given the nominal MPG gain (if any) and reduced capacity.

The increase in torque is what people will buy it for, not any kind of MPG gain. Having 465 ft/lbs of torque when towing is a huge advantage over the standard engine.

Just curious, but what would be your guys' ideal price for the TRD Pro?

I’ll bet you won’t find one marked down from MSRP within 12 months of release..and probably never

3rd Gen Pro was overpriced in my opinion and those never sat on lots

don’t forget too that CHEVY/FORD/GMC/RAM/NISSAN are more lenient when it comes to discounts, rebates and or incentives.

Toyota specialty vehicles are literally MSRP or f*ck off to the consumers!!

Nope. It was priced quite well once you compared to a fully loaded TRD OR.

Resale value. It should be considered when purchasing a new vehicle.

No competitor can touch a Toyota Tacoma in terms of resale value. They are the gold standard in the pickup truck world.

I believe the only option available on a TRD Pro are mud flaps.

It comes loaded from the factory. Suspension seats, moonroof, Fox shocks, heated and cooled seats, power up/down tailgate, heated leather steering wheel, tow package, etc.

So basically 80k after tax title license and dealer markup. What a waste of money
