I use a million acronyms at work. Some common ones:
PSI, GPM, TE diagram, PWM, TIER 5, HPV, HPR, VW, and I always make sure my ID is smaller than my OD...
P1 V1 T1... I could go on forever.

 

Safelite coming today to replace the Forester windshield. Rock hit it a couple days ago just a chip. Oh no it started creeping, it's like 10" now.

Responded to Vice President emergency, generated mission by teaming with 5 different agencies. 10 personnel recovered aircraft and provided 'Air Force 2' C-17 executive airlift twice.

Yes, that is Air Force 2, as in not Air Force 1.

We used tons of acronyms that were very industry specific. Now, the ones I use most often are nap, snack, and tv.

 

I can identify with all of these.

 

What my morning looks like -
(Over the net) TC, LS13 here with 4 CAT IV SCAPERS ingressing to the ASTF, ready to begin haz ops. BAIR starting pressure 2150 psi. Good comm established. Air on 0905.

Pretty Much hand to hand for the first while with the insurance co. dealing with front line spin doctors . Then once we got to the meat ‘n potatoes I broke out the file & fragged the acronym’s, buzzwords & jargon from the first three of the customer “service” team before I went for the throat with the Supervisor’s Manager. Kinda made Them tell me what was exactly wrong here & I specifically mentioned to play it back to others for training purposes while there at it.

I just know I’ll be doing this again next year.
