I can only assume they didn’t think the Ranger Raptor would undercut them on price when they were planning the TRD Pro. With the Trailhunter being a thing now it should have given them more latitude to go more hardcore on the TRD Pro. Maybe someone on the team genuinely thought those seats would be a big selling point? Like someone else said if it had been on an extended cab I could see it making more sense but now you’re stuck with a baby bed and un-useable back seats.

Ranger Raptor offers a more usable rear seat w/o metal parts banging into your kids’ knees, plus storage space under the seat.

I believe it may also have a rear map pocket to store the extra $8000.00 in cash you saved over the Pro.

If Ford was smart they would increase production on the R Raptor.

When the eventual time comes, someone sell me their ISO seats. Itll be one of those things that 15 years down the line, everyone will want.

might be right. but they will have a hell of a lot more leg room in the back seat.

"Over delivered" must be synonymous with "just barely enough"

Its not just the dumb ass seats. It's the ARB branding. The Tacoma Trd Pro/Trailhunter are billboards on wheels.

With that same logic, the Tacoma is just Toyota/TRD branding on wheels. ARB makes good quality parts so I don't see many people having an issue with that.

I disagree. It's a sticker shock. However, the Ranger Raptor looks like shit in comparison to the Tacoma.

If it is Great Value, I would be like WTF? ARB, not so much.

Suspension mostly. It’s far inferior to the Ranger Raptor.

I think he’s referring to what you can obtain them for, because real world pricing for Tacoma TRD Pro will have significant markups while Tundra can be had for MSRP or even a slight discount.

Looks are subjective, but I do agree that the Tacoma looks a little bit better. Two minutes ago I saw a brand new Ranger raptor at the grocery store, and it looks pretty good, and it sounded even better.

But you can't argue with a twin turbo V6. Ford wins the power plant contest by a mile.

Since you are ragging on price and quality of Toyota trucks, should we do that same about your bed racks?
