Rick, since you seem to be active currently, thanks again for making these back in the day. The knob coupled with a short throw shifter on my 3rd Gen has been a match made in heaven. I’m always posting pictures of it and people keep asking me where I got it. I send them here and tell them about the fabled Rick who made these pieces of art. The knob on our M/Ts really are the focal point in the cab and the knobs you made really make the truck look way sportier/high end than they really are. Hope you come back to making these some day. I’m sure you’ll draw a big crowd. Stay well!

Just started browsing when the thread updated today. Found this one. It's COBB which is for Subie stuff, but the thread pitch lines up. More research needed

I plan on using it with a Core shifter, thread pitch is 3/8" - 16.
More interested in the shape/weight as I've always prefered sleepers, and I'm pretty anal about stock look/feel, and Rick's is by far the only one I'd change course from the TRD Sfifter.

    Otherwise I'd go with this:

Stainless...makes for nice nobs, and those look nice as well. But I don't want the engraving branded into my hand during summer and the knob itself warming up below sub zero until June from the winter months...

I have a Rick Al that I first commissioned that is more forgiving temp wise than SS...within 8 months was haggling for my Rick Ti due to temp tolerances.

SS is purty, but I'd solicit so feedback from actual SS pilots

    Best of luck

Ya know, I was gonna order one of Ricks last batches but I passed on the opportunity cause I didn't have the truck and wasn't sure if my deal would go through or not. I'll always kick myself for that.

This seems like a decent alternative worth looking into. Thanks for sharing.

My old man used to say "sometimes the best move you make is no move at all"...does not apply here.

In keeping this thread alive, it's kind of a petition to Richard to reconsider his tempering of his entrepreneurial desires, even if that tempering stomps all over his technical, not to mention creative, proclivities that he secretly pines for...

But I digress...shoulda, woulda, coulda, comes to mind

Can I ask what's going on in the passenger footwell over yonder?

    I'll give you $.50 shipped.
Hell, make it a dollar, I'm feeling generous.

Anyway. Those are my work loafers and personal computer. Would be easiest to wander in with my flip flops, but . . .

I've started to txt you twice about selling you my 837g SS, one of 2 heavyweight shift knobs. I'm picking up my new Tundra tomorrow, and the shift knob is about the only piece of the truck I was planning on keeping. I wouldn't even know what to ask for it, and wouldn't want to piss anyone off because it'd probably be a bit pricey.
