I'm looking for some lightweight wheels to pair with some tall skinny highway tires for long hauls.

I don't have the cash for TE37s or Lightspeed racing wheels.

So far the best deal I've found is on FN Konig Countersteers. About $1000 for 20lb wheels.

Anyone know of lighter wheels around the same price point, or cheaper wheels at the same weight?

These will be going on my Silverado, but it just so happens that Tacoma wheels will fit. The GMC forums haven't been any help.

I'm looking for 17 inch wheels. I can't go smaller than that, and they'll be much lighter than my 40lb 20 inch wheels.

@crashnburn80 has done some deep dives on lightweight but capable tire/wheel combinations. I don't have the specific posts handy unfortunately, but he might have some more thoughts.

FN Wheels are the way to go if you want light, quality, and affordable all in one.

Im assuming you know about lug vs hub centric and needing different lug nuts between the Chevy and Yota, but just in case, that’ll be a thing.

The lug nuts I have covered. I just need to get the hub rings for the Toyota wheels to fit hub centric-ly on my truck.

With the FN wheels and some lighter tires I can save 33 lbs per corner, without losing any sidewall. I'm hoping that'll improve my roadtrips a smidge

I think my SCS f5’s are like 19lb or something. That’s why i bought em. Cant afford TE’s but it shaved like 7 lb per corner vs the toyota whees

F5 wheels from scs are probably the lightest in their line with their 16" wheels coming in at just over 18 pounds and right around $1k

Edit: I see you're looking at 17's. Their 17x8.5 comes in at 21lbs. 11oz. With a price tag right over $1k

When you say tall and skinny how skinny? I would say FN wheels could be a good choice but they are going to be 8" or 9" wide. Just make sure the wheel width and tire are of a good fit together.

8.5 is too wide. I think 8 inches is the widest wheel I can run for the tires I want. I guess I should have said that.

I'm looking at 235/70R17 Continental 4x4 Contact tires. 30 inches tall and 9 inches wide. I need a wheel no wider than 8 inches, which the FN is good there
