No money, all went to truck...
As mentioned above you should repair or paint the parts that lost paint. It'll rust.

yep. i think of my one buddy that bought a used silverado. after a camping trip with some falling acorns, they took it to a PDR guy, and they paid extra to fix any and all damage throughout the truck. 3 weeks later, they backed into a pole they couldn't see behind the truck. 2 years later, they got rear-ended and tweaked the metal bumpers.

i try to keep my stuff nice, but there's only so much that can be done sometimes. the first week i had my truck, i accidently dented the tailgate bringing in scrap. i banged most of it out myself, and touched up the chipped paint area's... but then recently i had a deer run into my rear door. i had that repaired to the tune of $6600 because the window wouldn't roll down, and the door handle was broken, as well as damage to the crash bar within the door...

Going through this same thing myself right now on my truck. I purchased a bed panel from Toyota for $760. It is getting painted at a Toyota body shop and they have good guarantees. I will install the bed panel myself and probably sell the old one for $100 bucks, or practice some PDR on the old panel.

Trail cred +10. I have a hit on my tailgate with a small section of exposed metal. Almost been 2 years, no rust.
