I need several more 2” x 12” x 12’ for the steps but needed two for the stringers. That’s about all the Honda wants :D

My previous employer liked to "orbit" around issues.

Step 1: I get an e-mail starting with "I noticed" followed by "I need you to"
Step 2: Rusty does a pile of research, compiles a solution and a cost estimate which is promptly sent off to the interested party or parties
    Step 3: Crickets....

I don't bother to follow up because:
    1) This is a dumb idea anyway
    2) It would just be more work for me
    3) My employers are notoriously *cough* - thrifty - with the check book.

Several months (or years) later... (multiple repeats over the years)

Step 1: I get an e-mail starting with "I noticed" followed by "I need you to" ...
Step 2: I forward the previous information along with a politely worded "we wasted time on this before"
    Step 3: Crickets...

My work e-mail had over 11,000 entries -- actually fairly well organized too.
It took me several months to edit them down to the very useful and organized info before I left - I could have been a jerk and deleted everything.

Lol. I didn't waste the time to organize the work emails.

There is so much dead wood personnel wise, I figured one of those speed bumps could use a task.

I really love passive aggressive emails, really sets the mood. I got to the point where I established filters to automatically move emails around and assign to specific folders depending on who sent it, what was in the title, or what was in the body of the email. Tired of getting spam emails from my own employer.

    -J

Edit: And yes, one of those folders was the Deleted items folder.

I like to report the company's stupid spam emails to their I.T. fraud department.

OK boys, I'm not proud of how I struggled with this one on something so stupid...

    8hp problem resolved.

If you remember I had stated that I verified the timing. Well, today it was running bad again after running better yesterday. So I decided, f it, I'm going to check the flywheel key anyway... and wouldn't you know...20240425_104734.jpg
Replaced the key and she runs like a top..:anonymous::bananadead:

Must have sheered and then seized back in place close enough to fool me . Lesson learned. Always pull the flywheel and verify.

I'm messing, I don't know anything about boat engines.

When I was a kid I had a tiller with a 5hp briggs on it. It kept shearing the flywheel key so I put a brick nail in it. It didn't shear, the flywheel exploded :anonymous:

Instructions unclear. Now I have cream cheese in my ears and my Pringles taste chewy. But that's all on me, not you.

Fourth best prize pack I've ever got! Shipping cost are getting crazy, though. My wife was not happy. Which is kind of a bonus item.
