My previous car died a little sooner than I would like so I had to buy a 2024 Tacoma as quickly as I could. Not ideal.

That said, my local dealer had an Off Road Premium model on the lot. It was mostly what I wanted, though I would have got a different color. But I was in need. So deal done!

The one I got came with the official Toyota OEM Roof Rack. I can't find much information about this rack anywhere. I'm wondering.....

    - Does anyone know where specs are for this rack?
    - Is this rack good? I have it so I should use it.
    - The only thing I need to do is haul two canoes. I have two very lightweight canoes (around 20lbs each) so the weight shouldn't be an issue, but space is. Thinking a J-Bar approach might be best.
    - How do I know what accessories will work with this rack?

I am new to Tacoma and to this kind of roof rack, so please forgive my ignorance.

doing a search, i couldnt find much info but shouldnt be an issue with that weight, if its not too much drama to position & secure the canoes securely....
i found this, only ad with a pic but still no specs....
maybe call your parts dept & they may have a weight load capacity spec in their catalog, but im sure 40lbs wont exceed it....

Thanks @slater Good idea to call the parts department to get their thoughts.

Now I have to figure out what I can put up there to put my canoes on....

Are t-slots standardized? While any t-slot accessory fit in there? I have no clue.
