Stolen Taco - BOLO

Three days have passed since the theft so unsure of status, but this is sad. It's someone's livelihood, nice truck, and it will probably just get trashed. Thought it couldn't hurt to spread the word here.

 

with such a unique topper, you'd hope it will be recovered quickly. Obviously they could ditch the topper but fuck those people.

 

That sucks, the front range is a hotbed for auto thefts. I suspect that topper was gone in the first half hr. now it looks like all the other tacomas driving around. I try and never leave the garage open unless I'm in it, too tempting with all the other stuff in there.

 

Yeah, sucks that you can't even leave the garage door open WHEN YOU ARE HOME for a few moments. You could say the victim could have done things differently, but that dodges the point. Boulder is not the town it was even 10 years ago. But neither are most other places. Small comfort that the state is finally beginning to take auto theft more seriously, but they still have to catch the thief and run them through the system.

 

It's bad all over, where I live is no better. A HS teacher got her purse stolen at school, she needed a ride home because her car was also missing from the school parking lot. She got home to a wide open front door and a bunch of stuff missing.
