Hello! First post of many I'm sure to come with the age and mileage of my Tacoma..

    Need help please!

2006 Tacoma V6 has a crack at the oil pressure sensor plug. The replacement part is called "Bracket Sub-Assembly, Oil Filter" Part num 1567031010.

Are their any surprises or things I need to know when replacing this part? Seems straight forward - three bolts on the front side of the truck as it mounts directly to the engine block. I'm relatively capable - more so nervous about the replacement as I haven't tapped into a job like this yet.

Photo of the actual part should be attached. Its part "15609" in photo below.

    THANKS!!!

It’s easy, just a little messy(get some brake cleaner, the o ring , and plan an oil change while you at it.. can’t remember but I thought one of the bolts for it was kinda behind the neck of the thermostat housing

I’ve not temoved those components, so I’m useless there. But question, you’ve already removed the pressure sensor to confirm that is not the leak source?

Typically, you use a thread locker on the oil filter mounting "pipe".
Part 15600A in the diagram above. The thread locker keeps the "pipe" from unscrewing with the oil filter.
I don't know if Toyota calls for it, but I know Kawasaki and John Deere do.
