Wanna Build Her Out Need Insight

Hey Tacoma Peeps.

I have a 2002 Tacoma, 160K miles, had it since it was brand new.

Runs great, drives great and thinking of putting money into it. Should probably get new AC, Cat COnvertor or (Exhaust), Suspension and Paint Job.

For suspension, any insight? DO not wanna lift it, but would like a nice, sturdy suspension system to assist on towing?

Any other mods? What is tow capacity? 5K right?

2. Rotate wallet to inverted position
3. Replace Ball Joints..OEM
4. Replace Shocks
5. Replace fuel filter
6. Tundra brake upgrade....towing
7. Should be on your second timing belt.
8. Valve cover gaskets refresh and while there clearance checks.

You don't give a location. Do you live in salt or brine country?

If you do, you need to verify the frame is is great shape before spending anything on it.

 

Live in Virginia, Southeastern Virginia, I believe about 18 years ago, while in Charleston, SC, I had it undercoated due to the recall. I have had it since brand new (27 miles), never really spent any time in any extended Brine or Salt Country. Thanks for the input.

What do I need to look for? Frames lookes pretty good, little to no rust...
