Fan control issue

    Im only getting fan on high,not the other settings.Is there a blower motor resistor on these? An what else should I check ?

    minor tweaks
    I probably got the same AC system as you, mine started doing that about 3 years ago, on mine it's the connector right at the bottom left of the glove box. Over time it's gotten hot and the metal connectors lost their tension. I have the kit sitting on my bench waiting to be put on, so far when that happens (very occasionally) I just reach down to the the connector and wiggle it. I'll get around to it one of these days but in the meantime a wiggle goes a long way.

    Not sure why they would be, auto temp control was never an option for 2nd gen trucks.

    Updated part numbers and wiring diagram for the connector and pigtail are in the thread I posted above.

    YEP There was a burn mark on the connector tan wire.r..I put a new resistor on it an harness on it,thicker wires..Is this caused from smaller wires an a lot of long term use , the blower motor getting dust an that causing strain?

    Pretty typical, that's why the updated parts.

    It's typically caused by terminal fretting which causes a poor connection which makes it get hot.

    YEP new one was extremely REDONE. Flat design..
    Has the new Design shown many repeated burn issues?
