    Good afternoon folks
Recently bought a 2011 DCSB, love the truck only one catch. State inspection is going to ding me for a "crack" in headlight housings.

I'm looking for recommendations on a great headlight housing/bulb combination with good light output.

Granted there's tons of threads here re: the LED conversions and upgrades and DIYers upgrading the lumen output, I just want to make sure whichever NEW headlight housing i purchase will be compatible. I haven't decided which route I'll go yet as I'm interested to hear if anyone had good luck with an aftermarket plug-n-play housing using regular bulbs and I'm a bit to busy with work to get hung up in researching the wiring harness stuff for the DIY route.

    Thanks folks! Much appreciated

OEM housings are by far the best. Check out the thread linked in the above post. If wanting the best stock wattage performance bulbs, all the info is listed further down in the first post, Philips Racing Vision +200 will give the best results for low beam.

I have DEPO housings, 100w bulbs, harness from headlight services
    Pretty bright

racing vision may be a work around the harness

$600 for factory plastic bowl sprayed silver is not really a justifiable price

After 15 years of use and being polished twice the housings on my 2007 were in sad shape. I looked at several options and bought factory. They came with bulbs. My old housings were so dull it made the new factory bulbs look BRIGHT. That was 2 years ago and I'm glad I paid the extra.

They weren't cheap. The local Toyota dealer wanted $700 for the pair. It would have been $650 to order them from Toyota. I contacted a local body shop and they had them delivered to their shop for $550. I paid the shop the $550 and installed them myself.
