Finally, after a clusterfuck dealing with Toyota Canada, I was able to take delivery of my new 2024 Off-Road premium.
Got a great return from my 2020 taco and honestly, it was easy to walk away from the 3rd gen. I loved my 20, did some great road trips and really got to fuck off into the woods and it got me out of some sticky places, but the 4th gen is killer SO FAR.

the 2020 was my first taco, definitely learned a lot from it, can’t wait for the quality builders to start releasing parts for the 4th gen.

First up will be throwing my RCI bed rack on, throw my name in for a roof rack and hop on a list for SCS wheels when they release specs for the new gen. I see Kings already got a kit out for the truck, but honestly not sure if I’d do kings again after my 3rd gen, they corroded pretty good. West coast beats them up pretty good, even if you’re good about keeping them clean through fall/winter up here. So, we’ll see how well other kits fair!IMG_9795.jpg IMG_9797.jpg IMG_7494.jpg

Thanks eh! Can’t wait to ditch the side steps and factory wheels lol, the short girlfriend doesn’t mind the step, but one rock and these things are toast.

This is the exact trim level to get in Canada, unfortunately if you don’t want the upgrade package for an extra 11k and opt for the base TRD off-road you only get the crappy 6foot box.

Nice truck. For the 23 last July, pricing for OR Premium was same as Pro but I couldn't get a Pro with 6' bed so I opted for OR-P with 6' bed. Curious if this pricing structure still holds. Since you got the 24 OR-P 5', how did pricing compare to the 24 Pro?

I know this is a very new post. So, I guess I could ask first: Does it "go"? Or is it akin to or worse than the 3rd gen lack of throttle response and or lack of power at the low end, although snappy from 105kph (65mph) to 137kph (85mph)? Just a real question (given the known diff ratio) with no intention to knock your machinery. It looks very nice and Im into "all the bells and whistles" premium package.

Nice looking truck! Very nice interior. That color is one of the ones that calms-down all the quirky (IMO) lines, especially the ones that look like dents around the wheel-wells. Camouflages the vents below the headlamps as well.

    Congratulations! Keep us posted!

Nothing like the 3rd gen. It will get up and go, no hesitation. Transmission programming is also far better than the 6AT in the 3rd gens.
