75k miles. The odd thing is this pad was the piston side and was completely smoked. The other side pad was barely 1/4 worn. And it was like that on both front wheels. Checked the slide pins and everything, nothing was seized. We'll get the rest of this year out of the rear pads before having to do those.

If it makes you feel any better, I gotta put rear pads and rotors on the Camry this Summer. Only had 30k on it. o_O

Good evening, everyone. I just gave the Taco a much overdue bath.. the front wheels were especially filthy, the semi-metallics seem to puke out more dust then I remembered them doing. The 3rd gen T4R was a whole 'nuther level of cruddy, she will be as sparkly as she can be. I love the way that the Desert Dune Metallic pics up some of the colors from the sunset and reflects it through the paint.

You're not even close to being on an episode of "Just rolled in" on YT. :D

    They were stuck..
I’ll have to give you a class on rav brake jobs.
If you didn’t put brake grease where those squealers they are it’s gonna seize again.
You need to clean that area and test fit each end of the pad and file the pad if necessary.

And I never use the squealers.

    But,,,,,, what do I know.

Greased each contact point, checked for spring tension not wedged solid, had to use the squealers on the new pads or else they had too much up and down play in the hardware. Checked all four slide pins, no binding anywhere and everything moved freely. I checked over every part of the calipers and brackets as soon as I saw the uneven wear. I'll make sure to bring it down to you for the next set and have a note pad ready to learn :D:fistbump:

Got the perennials planted today. Slowly knocking things off the spring "to do" list. Gotta free up my time for prime fly-fishing season in the coming weeks.
