    Good morning everyone..
Got a question which is probably gonna be a dumb one on my part but here it goes.. I've got a 2013Tacoma TRD Sport with Bilstein 5100 shocks on it front and rear. I am replacing the rear ones with Daystar Scorpion shocks that have a 1.5-3 inch lift capability. I'm not sure if those Bilstein's are for stock rear shocks or for lifted. As far as I can tell mine doesn't appear to have the leaf spring blocks to lift it in the rear. My question is will those Daystar Scorpion bottom out since they are for a 1.5-3 inch lift. That is my truck in the pic

No way for us to know by looking at a side profile photo.

The only surefire way to find out is to strip the leaf pack down to the single long leaf, reinstall that single leaf and no shocks, and then flex out the rear suspension to full droop and full compression. Measure how long the shock would need to be at both full droop and compression, and compare to the specs of the shock you are looking to buy.

If you don’t have lift blocks, and only have 3 long springs, and 1 overload spring. You are stock.
The 5100 are 0-1” lift in rear.

Droop will be limited by the spring.

I guess you could run longer bump stops I guess.
That would keep you from collapsing the shock and breaking it.

You could just look at where the lower shock mount would roughly be when the bump stop would make contact with the top of the axle and measure that point to the top shock mount. Then compare that to the compressed length of the shock - if it’s just a street truck you’d have to ask yourself if you’ll ever bump out the truck - it could happen but just something to think about.

    check if it’s lifted.
Stock leaf pack is 3 leafs. If there’s more leafs or a block then it’s lifted.
