So I bought one of the phoenix radios off marketplace, I actually do like the radio for the most part. Very quick, clear screen, CarPlay works great! However…. I cannot get the reverse camera to operate! Does anyone have any experience with this set up?? I tried contacting them…. They’re useless….

Assuming you have the OEM camera, it requires 6v to operate. You haven't given any more details on how you installed the radio. Did you use a maestro RR to integrate with the truck? How are you trying to connect the OEM camera harness to the aftermarket head unit? If you provide a link to what model you have, we can try to help.

The Phoenix Tesla some radio came with harnesses that connect to the factory connectors, I just connect to that and then the yellow plug into the back of the radio with its own connectors. Seemed pretty straight forward but getting any help from the company outs like pulling teeth! i don’t know about a maestro device to connect to? It seems like the radio doesn’t recognize when I put the truck in reverse so that would make sense.
I uploaded a pic from their website, I don’t see a model number, they only have the one.

So part of the oem radio is to supply power to the camera with 6v. If the radio is not trying to display the backup camera, it may not be recognizing the reverse signal. Unfortunately I don't know anything about that radio, but that's where I would start.

The iDatalink Maestro rr is an aftermarket interface that people use to tie their truck to the radio. One of the many things it does is to recognize the truck going into reverse and supplying 6v to the camera.
