Lower control arm bolt replacement - Strategies for finding part #s

2001 Tacoma 2wd 2.4l Manual

Doing a front suspension rebuild and as expected, the lower control arm bolt was seized in the metal sleeve of the bushing. Had to cut it out, so looking for a replacement bolt.

While I'm sourcing bolts, also looking for a new bolt that goes through the strut bar bushing.

I've annotated both locations with a red arrow on the attached parts diagram.

Can someone point me in the right direction on the best way to find the OEM part #s for bolts like these that are not listed on parts lists like the ones I have?

(I know one solution is to call up a Toyota parts department and tell them what I need, but I've received wrong parts doing it this way in the past which delayed projects, so I'm interested in learning how to more efficiently double check on my own)

I would suggest trying Partsouq.com too. They are a parts supplier for the middle East and they have interactive parts diagrams for everything. Once I get a part number from them I usually double check it with McGeorge Toyota or ToyotaPartsDeal and if both say it fits, it does (this method has never failed me thus far).

Partsouq also has pricing that will often beat any domestic sources, even after paying for shipping from the Middle East.

 

Another option is to email Toyota's parts departments. You could email them that picture and see you need the bolt that goes through callout 26 and 31. With the picture and description it should be pretty clear.

 

I just hit up Joe Joe, tell him what I need, and he sends it.

 

Partsouq is still recovering from the massive flooding in and around Dubai. As luck would have it, I ordered some much-needed Taco FWBs & other parts just as the major flood hit. A week has passed, and my parts have still not shipped. If you need parts immediately, you may be better off buying parts elsewhere for now. Wow that's good to know. Thankfully (knocks on wood) I really don't need anything right now. I've got a load of parts on the shelf that actually need installed rather. Hope they take care of you soon though

 

state side I found https://parts.longotoyota.com/ to be pretty close with others in lowest price. Give them a look. Not sure how shipping is with them.
