    Yep, we were very careful to get KY license plates on our vehicles as soon as we could. If someone specifically asks, I do admit to having "escaped California", but I do not volunteer that info. When someone does ask "What made you want to leave California?", I always respond "California." And then I 'splain in a little more detail. So far, most people have been extremely welcoming, and very happy to hear that we love this area.
