I found some perfect SCS Ray10 rims that I wanna buy for my truck, but I am planning on getting 285/70R17 tires. I just would like to know if they would fit, because I don't wanna buy everything and then find out it doesn't fit. Rim specs are 17/8.5 -10mm 6x139.7

    Yeah. perfect size...for the wheel.

As for on the truck... I believe 285s will take some work to fit. Not sure if you are asking about that part.

I've read a lot of websites that said 285s would fit with a 3 inch lift, as long as there's some offset in the rims to push the wheel out a bit. I could be completely wrong, but thats what I've learned from reading websites.... I also plan on getting fender flares in the future and when I do that ill also get some spacers to push the wheels out a bit. I don't think fitting will be a problem, at least i hope. I'll definitely be asking for advice if it is

At some point your suspension will compress unless you stay on pavement all the time. So your truck will be at stock height. You need to fit tires with this in mind.
Also when you lift 3 inches you’ll have maybe an inch of uptravel left in your shocks, not a great ride.

I believe you will need a CMC (cab mount chop) to clear them regardless. Pushing them out with spacers will only make that interference point worse.

With a 2 or 3" lift should be good after that.

I see, thank you. It is my daily so i definitely spend way more time on pavement than I do off-road

It’s not hard to fit 285s, a bit of trimming, do the cab mount chop its cheap to do, and wheel alignment. 285s look awesome in our trucks.

I’d mount the tires then and just trim when you hear rubbing, I drove around on pavement with minimal issues before I did the cmc, good wheel alignment.

I have 285's with 8.5 width on wheels, no rub, no chop, just good alignment...
