Accidentally destroyed my weather strips trying to install my roof rack. Called the dealer and they are asking for 180 each. Wondering if anyone knows where I can get them cheaper or has an alternative

What type of roof rack? UpTOP Overland states it's optional and the back panels can be installed separately

check salvage yards, either locally or on ebay. many of them will be significantly cheaper being used parts. they're just going to get sunfaded anyways...

It’s a Caliraised roof rack. I’m honestly regretting not just going with the prinsu

I don’t have them anymore. I didn’t expect the metal strip that goes in the middle to be so resistant to a sharp drill bit

Twice now consecutively, my left side roof strip was ripped off in a car wash. Glad I noticed it: each time I asked them to retrieve it for me. Have reattached it with RTV sealant underneath. Hope that ends its propensity to become detached.

Here ya go. I used these after I removed my Prinsu. They are great. They come in a strip that’s super long so I had to cut some of the length but they fit in the channel perfectly. I used black silicon to attach them securely.

Make sure you seal the screw holes really well with something before you replace the molding strips. The strips (OEM and aftermarket) don’t do anything to seal those holes. I made an entire thread about it lol

The description on this site says that it's not designed to replace the OEM roof moldings but to be placed on top of it instead. Did these fit directly on the truck for you without issue?

Yes, I used them to replace the pieces that were cut away when my Prinsu was installed (after I got rid of the Prinsu). They fit perfectly fine in the channel where the OEM roof molding usually sits. I’m not sure why anyone would buy roof molding to go on top of roof molding anyway lol.

The tape they provided did not work very well even though it was authentic 3M tape, so I had to use silicon to adhere it to the roof.
