I'm seeing Gen 2s and 3s about 2-4k above top BB value on autotrader, which doesn't seem so bad from the recent craze. Is this what people are actually paying or do you think you could negotiate down to that value?

Not sure on retail value but trade value seems in line with what I've been offered lately. $36,749-$39,925 range, CarMax offered $40,000 2 weeks ago. 2022 with 22k miles.

Ok, that's a usable data point. I'm seeing a 2013 with 55k miles on it for $25,000. Kind of a dream with a 6MT, 4.0V6, access cab and long bed. But they're about $3.5k over KBB. I think they might be stretching for suckers like me.

KBB is not the bible on tacomas. Even my insurance company will see what a similar condition tacoma is asking for sales wise if i were to total it tomorrow

I hear they tend to lag a little bit, so maybe it's just the time for them to get whatever accurate data they plug in.

It definitely lags. Anything trying to "gauge" the market has to wait and see what the market is consistently doing, collect that data, analyze it, and then publish it.

A better metric is to see what Tacoma's are actually selling for here or other places (facebook, etc.).
