My AC started making a fast ticking sound that progressively gets worse as you turn from Lo-Hi. It still has good heat and cooling but the sound is annoying and it worry’s me. I got the fan out and it was a little dusty but nothing on it to make me think of making that noise. Has anyone had this issue before and know what I need to do to fix it?

I'm assuming you are referring simply to "the fan" as opposed to A/C compressor etc. If so, it's a pretty well known deal. I've tried to fix two and each time ended up getting a new one. Yeah, annoying as hell.

Pull the blower motor out and clean the blower wheel, I bet the wheel has debris in it.
