What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Tomorrow I’ll verify myself during the day and see how the brake lights look from a distance. The biggest red flag I did see though is my passenger tail light is definitely dimmer than the driver side. I was walking up to it with some buddies and unlocked my truck to show them the new taillights and noticed it. I’ve had them for like a month so I already have to replace one under warranty.

 

I've got the stage 1 VLED's with the oem tail lamps, trd pro oem led headlight conversion with Dave Easa's harness, ss3 max yellow fogs, ss3 pro yellow ditch lights, meso dual color map and dome lights and the cheap $50 high flying led turn signals from Amazon. I've been very happy with all of it.

 

Gonna try it for a while…

 

Subtle mod, but swapped out the OEM silver lug nuts for some black ones off the ole Amazon. The more I look at this picture, the more I realize I need bigger tires 255/85/16s coming soon!

That bumper looks so clean! I've been thinking about getting this one.

 

Some quality of life improvements today:

Removed the speaker behind the cluster that is responsible for the blinker click and allllll the interior beeps, i.e. turning off the engine with the door open and seatbelts etc. I drive my truck around neighborhoods all day long from jobsite to jobsite and I frickin hate the seatbelt beep lol. (And I know about tech stream, carista, etc, but I chose this route for my personal preference)

Also installed some special seat jackers made by @mrproduxn and they fit and work great, he even supplied longer bolts too. (I think he only made one last run of these so idk if he’ll make more, but he might have a couple sets left, just FYI)

Out with the old and in with the new. 6112/5160s and Icon RXT installed this morning.
I’m going to drive around for a bit more and double-check torque before I do any post-lift measurements.
My test drive and quick trip to the gas station was nice. Much smoother than the OE Pro suspension.

 

a few local tacoma's have them. i'm not impressed with their performance at all. i really question if the illumination area meets DOT requirements...

 

Looks good... they just had a deal on those BOGO and I got 2.... Let us know how long it lasts...

 

Got a new bottle jack to carry in the truck. Pretty much the same min and max height as the stock screw jack but with a slight modification to a hi lift base plate I get a few extra inches of height just in case.
Only reason I got it is because I got a flat a while ago and realized after using the OEM jack that hydraulic lifting is much easier.

 

Exactly what I did...BOGO deal. I'm gonna do the wash and apply wet methods to kids vehicles. See how that methods works.

 

I know I'm kind of late to the party but finally got a TRD Pro grill. Got OEM from a local dealer.

 

Added some baja goodies to replace the diode dynamics kit.
