2005 Tacoma 4.0 Auto P0500

I'd really suspect it's the cluster, you could bypass it and see if it's fixed or try to catch it when it's not working and run through the testing.

 

How do I bypass it?

There’s the mother board I don’t see any issues on this or the pins

 

Interesting, I really don't know what goes bad on them or where the circuitry for the SPD signal is but since a few taps usually get's them working temporarily I always figured it was a cracked solder joint.
