Last year I bit the bullet and did the much needed upgrade on wheels, tires and suspension on my truck. I ultimately decided to go with fox suspension in the front and rear and added an icon leaf in the back, this leveled my truck and brought it up roughly 2.5 inches, also allowing me to throw 33’s on it.

While the upgrades were a substantial improvement in general handling the suspension is very stiff. Driving my truck down washboards is bone rattling. While I’m not taking my rig off-road all the time I would enjoy if it had a softer and more plush ride. What can I do? Does anyone running the fox coilovers have any advice?

I’m not sure if you can tune the shocks but I know on my mountain bike fork fox shocks are extremely tunable to get the desired ride.

hate to say it but maybe these just aren’t the right shoe for me and in a few years will upgrade to some external res or something.

any help or advice is extremely appreciated! It’s pretty late but I’ll add some photos in the morning!

What load rating are the tires? E load tires on these ride really rough, also make sure you torque any suspension components using rubber bushings with the truck on the ground ie: not with the suspension drooped. I know it’s not a first gen but I have fox 2.5s on my Tacoma and the ride is amazing. I have E load 33s on my 3rd gen 4Runner and the ride is very rough
